Thread: Terminator on small displacement turbo engines.

Default Terminator on small displacement turbo engines.

I have been doing a lot of research on using one of the Holley TBI EFI setups and right now
the Terminator system is at the top of my list.

But I have a few questions regarding using it on smaller displacement turbo charged engines.
This would be going on a straight 6 cyl that is 170ci and stock rated at 150HP @ flywheel.
With the turbo I will be looking at somewhere between 350 - 400HP.

My main concern is the large 80lb injectors and whether or not I will have problems tuning
idle and low throttle off boost driveability.
My understanding is that the Holley TBI units used progressive throttle bodies with staged
injectors and I am thinking that this may help? If not, is putting smaller injectors in it an
    option?

Any input would be greatly appreciated since I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on
    something.
    Thanks, Dan

The Terminator EFI is rated for 250-600 horsepower engines.
You'll have to call Holley Tech to ask if the injectors can be changed.
If not, there's nothing wrong with Holley's 550-400 Avenger TBI system.
As you know, you'll also have to replace the 1 bar MAP sensor.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Thanks Danny for the information.
Yes, I had looked at the Avenger system and it was my second choice. To be honest I would prefer to go that route but I have clearance issues and I am not sure the Avenger TBI will clear. Do you or anyone else have height dimensions on those TBI units? I am trying to get it to fit a 2" to 2½" supercharger hat. Thanks, Dan

The Terminator TBI unit is 3" tall from the base to air cleaner flange.
The Sniper TBI unit is 3¼" tall from the base to air cleaner flange.

The C950 & Avenger/HP TBI unit is 2" tall from the base to air cleaner flange:
Base to air cleaner flange - 2".
Base to top of injectors - 4⅝".
Base to top of air cleaner stud - 6⅜" (cut shorter to fit application).
