    Default Hooker 6208... Not on the Hooker site? 351w into 65 Mustang with 3/4" Primary

    Looking for a set of pipes for my Mustang, 65 with 351w.
    This car is currently running the 1 5/8" Primary Hedman Shorty headers, with twin 3" Mandrel bent exhaust, with X member, and hooker mufflers. It is 418ci, makes power to about 6800rpm, and runs 11.1 on the 1/4, in street trim, on DOT tires, with full exhaust. It has a 950hp Holley carb, Super Victor manifold and Edelbrock Victor Junior alloy heads. It is full weight, steel panels etc etc. C4, 4300rpm convertor, 3.5 gears, 26" tyre. 5800rpm over the finish line

    I feel the headers are slowing it down, I assume something like this should have a bigger primary, and tuned length.
    Summit Racing list a Hooker 6208 1 3/4" primary tuned length header. I can't see it here though.

    Has anyone used these before? Do they fit OK? Do they offer easier access to the rear driver side plugs than the Hedmans? The Hedmans fit great everywhere, but the rear driver pipe goes up & over, and have no room to change the plug, with the master cylinder/booster in the way.

    I have problems with the quality of another set of Hookers, are they generally good? Did I just buy a dud set? (ref my other post here).
