Thread: GPS not working on Digital Dash.

Default GPS not working on Digital Dash.

I recently updated to V6 (EFI software, ECU firmware and 7” Digital Dash firmware). Everything is working well except GPS speed is not being displayed on the Digital Dash. It now reads, “Acquiring Signal/No GPS”. Any idea what could be causing this? Thank you.

Is the Holley 554-140 GPS USB Module still programmed correctly with the Digital Dash?
http://documents.holley.com/199r10746rev1.pdf (Holley 553-106 Digital Dash Instructions - "Vehicle Tab" & "GPS Speed", Page 11)
Go to Menu, Configuration, Dash Configuration, Vehicle Tab, and change Speed Input to "GPS Speed" (LINK).
Also, ensure you're using the latest Digital Dash V6 firmware (LINK). Always use the latest update versions.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

So for Speed Input, I selected “GPS Speed” and most of the time it displays “No GPS”, and sometimes the speed appears very, very briefly. I can’t seem to figure it out. This only occurred after I updated to V6 Build 220. The Digital Dash shows that it's on “SW version V6 Build 200 HW Rev D1”. Any help would be very much appreciated.

It turns out that there's a more recent 7” Digital Dash firmware available. It’s Version 6.0.203. The 7” Digital Dash firmware that's included in the V6 Build 220 complete file set is Version 6.0.200. I just updated the firmware and it solved the problem.

Yes, it's on Holley's Tech Library webpage for the V6 Digital Dash touchscreens. In fact, it's the only V6 firmware listed (LINK).
