    Default Repair MAB Threads

    Has anyone here used a Heli-Coil type thread repair on a 4150 air bleed hole. There doesn't appear to be very much wall to drill and tap. I bought a used 830 HP carburetor with one of the MABs messed up a little. A bleed will thread in, but not tighten. I'm considering using some blue Loctite to seal it and keep it in place, but I'd rather fix it right. Thanks for any help.

    If it's Aluminum, then TIG weld, and drill/tap new threads.
