6AL no spark from magnetic pickup?

Installed a few year old, but new in box 6AL and a brand new Pro-Billet distributor and I'm not getting ant spark when I try to test it using the magnetic pickup, but I do with the white wire. I checked all the connections and continuity on the magnetic pickup wire and everything checked out. anyone run into anything like this before?

Glad the problem is solved. I did some testing on my own MSD 6AL (no problems with unit) With key on, l found there's a 4.45V DC bias voltage on the magnetic pickup violet + wire, and 3mV on the green - wire, with the harness unplugged. This provides a DC offset in the AC sine wave signal to help reduce interference. And is also used to trigger the CDI box during the spark test. For testing purposes, the bias voltage confirms there are no opens or shorts in the wiring or unit.
