Thread: Carb CFM with choke tower cut off.

Default Carb CFM with choke tower cut off.

I have a small block engine with a Weiand 6-71 blower and two Holley carbs. Someone before me cut off the choke towers which removed model number. I'm trying to determine what size the Holley's are and was it a good idea to cut the towers off. TIA✌

Can you post some photos of the top of the carbs, including any numbers on the metering blocks?
They could be anything between the typical 1850 600 vacuum secondaries, to 850 double pumpers.
Milling the choke tower off is a common mod, but is only beneficial when the air filter is too close to the tower. Gary
    Regards, Gary
