Thread: A/C Input for Terminator.

    Default A/C Input for Terminator.

    I have a Terminator Stealth system and I'm trying to figure out how to wire the IAC A/C Kick and the AC Shutdown. My manual says there are only three outputs available. However, in the EFI software it appears I should be able to reconfigure pin J1-A12 to be an input, which I'd connect to the A/C compressor clutch. Then I'd use pin J1-B10 as an output to the A/C Shutdown relay. Am I correct in being able to reconfigure pin A12? Thanks.

    Thanks Danny. I've been through that info and it really does not answer the question of can I reprogram what the manual calls an output into an input.

    So If I read this correctly, I can Pin Map it to an input using the Basic IO configuration and Pin Mapping utility in the EFI software.

    I was told there may be an accessory harness that would give me the full 4 input and 4 output wires available in the ECU, instead of just the 3 the system came with. Do you know of such a harness being available. Thanks for your help.

    No, you can't change the function of Input/Output pins; they're hard-coded in the ECU.

    So If I read this correctly, I can Pin Map it to an input using the Basic IO configuration and Pin Mapping utility in the EFI software.
    However, you can change the "Input Type" & "Output Type" to +12V or Ground, in the Inputs/Outputs screen (System ICF). Then assign the I/O to pins in the Pin Map.

    Yes, the Terminator EFI uses an HP ECU, and has four Inputs & four Outputs.
    Any Inputs/Outputs that aren't prewired, do utilize the HP's Inputs & Outputs.
    Meaning, it's predefined (& a predesignated pin) and isn't Pin Mapped (not Custom I/O).
    The Terminator ECU is an HP ECU (same ECU, only difference is the decal). It's the Terminator EFI & HP EFI Main Harnesses that are different (LINK).
    The Holley 558-420 Terminator EFI Input/Output Harness has the extra 4 Input wires & 1 Output wire that's not included in the Terminator Main Harness.
