Thread: Error on root folder open E11.

Default Error on root folder open E11.

I have a Super Sniper and I'm getting the Error E11 error on root folder open. In the Holley EFI thread with this the error, the poster was instructed to reload the 3.5" TSLCD software. I can find that software for Holley EFI, but not for Sniper EFI. Is it the same software?

The symptoms are frequent reboots. It idles OK and starts, but when you hit the accelerator quickly the TSLCD goes blank momentarily, reboots and then back to idle.

Where do I get the EFI software to update the Sniper 3.5" TSLCD and the Super Sniper ECU? I want to start over if possible.

This is in a Mopar big block with HyperSpark ignition, distributor & coil.

This car overheated and may have cooked the ECU, but I'm not sure so I want to start over.

No, absolutely not! They're two completely different EFI systems that require two different EFI software programs. Pay attention when on the Holley EFI Technical Library webpage (LINK). A large red banner separates Holley's different EFI systems by name.

That's what I thought. However, I cannot find a Sniper TSLCD EFI software. Only an SD card contents software. Is there a software update for the Sniper EFI handheld? Also, is there a way to reload the Sniper EFI software in the Sniper itself?

I don't think there's an actual 3.5" TSLCD firmware update yet. The Sniper 3.5" TSLCD version (LINK) has the correct firmware.

Yes: https://www.holley.com/support/fuel_...on/sniper_efi/ (Holley Sniper EFI Downloads)

This link has the Holley EFI software for laptop or desktop, but nothing about reprogramming the ECU. From what I could see, it only has the capability of uploading new Config Files, not reinstalling the ECU firmware. Is it possible to do that? Sorry to be a bother.

The ECU firmware is in a folder with the EFI software download.

Save your current GCF from your SD card. Wipe your SD card and reformat it. Upload the SD card contents from the Holley website to your SD card. Put your old GCF into the new FW0101 folder, under the saved GCF folder. Take the SD card to your handheld. Turn the key on and update the ECU firmware. At that point the two should match. That's the best your gonna do with what Holley gives us. Then select your GCF you want loaded into the ECU to run it. If that doesn't solve your error code, I'm guessing it will have to go back to Holley.
