Thread: No Start Issue

    Default No Start Issue

After six years of no issues, my Coyote powered race car wouldn’t start yesterday. System is Dominator V3 with all unaltered Holley cables. When I went to start it the batteries seemed really low. Not sure why that was because I couldn’t find any switches left on. Charged up the batteries and tried again. When I turned on the ignition the fuel pump didn’t prime like normal and the gauges all read 0. Even the temp gauge. Tried it several times and was still the same. So I decided to reload the Global File. Then tried again and now it seemed normal when I tried it. The fuel pump worked, the gauges worked (temp, oil pressure when cranked, and fuel pressure) but still no start. Tried many times, but no start. Any ideas. I’m thinking maybe crank sensor?

Thanks for the reply. I'll go through the list. One thing I didn’t mention is that I screwed up the USB port years ago. So I use a 3.5” touchscreen to do all my adjusting and monitoring so I might not be able to do everything.

If you update the ECU firmware to V5 or V6, you'll be able to use the 558-443 USB to CAN cable and use your laptop again. Andrew

Did you do a TPS Autoset after the reload of the Global File?

Unfortunately, I've been out of town since my last post. Just got back and started down the list. TPS first and that did the trick. Thanks so much for the advice.
