Default Post 10 micron filter needed with 12-310OEM fuel module.

I've searched the various forums and I'm confused about the need/requirement for a 10 micron post filter. The OEM tank instructions for a 12-310 OEM fuel module do not address this issue. The plumbing notes just say use EFI hose & clamps to connect to the vehicle hard line.

Is the in-tank HydraMat fuel pick up considered as a pre filter or post filter? Should I connect a 10 micron (i.e. NAPA 3482) post pump filter between the pump outlet and the hard line on the vehicle? Will the pressure drop of the filter cause any problems. I blocked off the return on the Sniper with AT581406ERL Black-6 Port Plug.

The Holley HydraMat is the pre-filter before the fuel pump. You still need a 10 micron post-filter after the fuel pump.

This is just a copy & paste of one of my other posts:

An EFI fuel system needs two filters:
Before fuel pump - 100 micron pre-filter. (Or the OEM in-tank sock filter.)
After fuel pump - 10 micron post-filter. (40 micron is for carburetion.)
The 40 micron (carburetor) fuel filter has no place on an EFI fuel system. (I know you're not using it.)
It's too "fine" of a filter to be used before the pump, causing fuel pump cavitation.
FYI: The sock filter (HydraMat or OEM) of an in-tank fuel pump, is the pre-filter. Don't add another one.
