    Welding with Dominator installed?

Is it safe to weld on the car with a Dominator installed? Ground clamp will be as close as I can get to the weld, but I've had an issue in the past with an MSD CDI box that was totally disconnected but still physically in the car, so I'm curious if I need to remove the ECU or not?

We recently welded on my car and left the Dominator in place, but we unplugged all the cables.

We use a Matson Antizap here at work, and we've never had a problem since. Keep the ground clamp close to your welding!

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I could have done a better job with the search engine. Brian

Remove the cables from the battery. All heavy equipment I weld on has big stickers telling you to disconnect the battery(s).
