Default New Holley EFI Terminator on Ford FE 390.

Hi there. I purchased a Holley EFI system (Terminator 4BBL) to go on my '63 Ford Thunderbird. I've wired up a Holley HP EFI in a previous car and that all worked, so I have some experience with it. This is the second car I want to convert. The car currently runs a MSD 8595 Ready-To-Run distributor. It's wired with a 6AL ignition box:

This distributor has a gray wire that provides a 12 volt square wave, 20° duty cycle tachometer signal. I'd like the ECU to control ignition timing. Unfortunately, I cannot find any conclusive information with respect to the following solution:
    1) Run the gray tachometer signal from the MSD 8595 straight into the EFI system using the ignition adapter "271R1012A REL 11125".

    2) Disconnect the orange wire from the MSD 8595 that's currently connected with the white wire from the 6AL ignition box, leave that orange wire disconnected.
    3) Connect that white wire from the 6AL ignition box with the loose white wire in the main harness of the Terminator EFI

Is this all I need to do wiring-wise to get the ECU to control timing? Really appreciate your time for reading through this - Thank you!

P.S. I've read through this post. Fantastic read. It'd be really awesome if somebody could leave a message here that covers my particular application! Love Holley EFI! It totally transformed my truck and I'll never drive a carburetor again. First things first, swap in a Holley EFI!

Not sure how you need to wire yours up, but when I did my Dual Sync setup, my HP ECU harness didn't have the white wire as it was an early setup. I had to pin that in. Here's a link Danny posted: https://forums.holley.com/showthread...ts-Output-Wire. Cheers

I have the white wire in the harness, thanks for the reply. But the distributor setup and wiring of the Hall-Effect sensor? Does that work?

The Hall-Effect crank & cam sensors are wired as shown in the Holley EFI Wiring Manual:
