    Default Sniper EFI Sending Unit

I recently converted my '86 Regal to the Sniper unit. I bought the Sniper EFI tank with the 255 LPH pump. I followed the instructions word for word, but I'm having a issue with the fuel gauge sitting at a quarter tank with a full tank or empty tank. If I unplug the lead the gauge goes past full and if I ground that lead it goes to empty. I verified the float is not stuck it moves up & down in-tank freely. I extended the wires and hooked them to my old tank and it reads normal on the gauge. I'm not sure what else to try than buying another sending unit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe you got the wrong sending unit? Andrew
