    Unusual to vent the tank into the air cleaner, but if it works then OK. Glad the RFI was sorted out. Did you learn distributors enough to do the HyperSpark install?

    I took a look at the pictures in the first post and they look pretty scary. The HEI distributor with plug wires jammed against the firewall and a pink wire nearby. And yet little RFI, until a plug wire shorts on the firewall. Using the vapor tube as the return is generally not recommended. Make sure the charcoal canister has been removed and all the hoses and clamps are correct for fuel and less than 50 years old. There's no way to purge a charcoal canister when the original emissions system has been hacked. You don't want the canister saturated with fuel. You certainly don't want a saturated charcoal caister vented the to the air cleaner or anything else under your hood.
