Default Carburetor is making a noise!

What would cause this? It's a syphoning noise after I drive the car, one barrel is leaking fuel apparently?

Sounds like the fuel is percolating in the bowls from too much engine heat. You need to add a heat shield under the carb, duct cold air to the air cleaner, insulate the fuel line near the engine, etc. Gary

I thought that too but, it's an air-gap style intake. Isn't that supposed to run cooler? Could it be some kind of pressure or vacuum issue since it's only drivers side venturi doing it? I'll go ahead and install a heat inulating base gasket like the Edelbrock one they make, see if that helps. Fuel line is ran from tank, along passenger side frame, through the front frame channel to passenger side fuel inlet. Never really gets closer than 5-6 in from exhaust. Car runs a steady 200°F no matter what temp the weather is. Champion radiator with Spal fans.

I installed a insulated base plate gasket and no more percolating or flooding. You were right, thanks.
