Thread: Fuel pressure low, defective sensor?

Default Fuel pressure low, defective sensor?

Will a failing fuel pressure sensor affect the way the engine runs or is the sensor for the gauge input only. As the car warms the fuel pressure reading goes down from 59 to 55 psi and the engine feels less responsive. Is the sensor causing this because it's failing?

No, the fuel pressure sensor doesn't affect the engine. It's just for a gauge display. Read step #2: http://forums.holley.com/showthread....ents-Read-This (Initial Checks & Adjustments - Read Steps #1-#6!)

Which part number Terminator X EFI system do you have? (It's in the instruction manual.)

This largely depends on which injectors you are using. Andrew
