    Default CAN IO Module 554-165

    Just received this module and I want to set it up. For Terminator X it states it requires V2 Build 51 & up, and I'm only finding 50 on the website. Any idea when the new build is coming? Thanks in advance.

    All I've heard is that it'll be "soon." The I/O expansion support is already in V6 build 200, but of course that does not apply to Terminator X. Andrew

    Can the Holley 554-165 be used to add say the Davis Traction Control to a Terminator X ECU?

    I'd say no. Mainly because the box doesn't work with a Terminator. I've owned mine for about two weeks; bought it unknowing that it's awaiting a software revision. Silly me, when the description said it worked with Terminator X I assumed it would.

    It would've have been decent of Holley to mention that it should be working soon. I'm giving it another week or two, then I'll probably return it. Pretty disappointed about that as well. I had already mapped out two new inputs and four new outputs.

    I should mention, that I've emailed them and haven't received a response. And I've called multiple times and given up after 30 minutes of hold time. I don't want to bitch or complain, but it'd be nice if someone could give us a timeframe of an expected release other than some as generic as 'soon'.

    You may have already figured it out, but just in case, there's a version V2 Build 70 out now, it opened up the extra options for the module. I dont see a firmware update for the ECU yet though. Works on the laptop software, but don't see a firmware update to update the ECU. I may be blind though.

    I ended up getting the Pro Dash, because I wasn't aware this module was available for the Terminator X that gave me the ability to do most of what I wanted to do through CAN. I'm also using the virtual switches (without having anything physically wired to the Pro Dash for them), to do certain things too. I wish they would've marketed this better, so I could've waited a couple weeks and bought it. But if I need to add anymore sensors, I'll pickup the module. Makes the Terminator X very much worth it.

    Wanted to update from my previous post. Actually I'm blind and I was able to successfully upgrade the ECU firmware to the latest version (at the time of this post SNEFI_02000700.eep) using my laptop, and then reloaded my tune, etc.

    Yep, the update is out. Must use the laptop not the SD card method.
