    Default Jeep Wrangler YJ & Holley Sniper.

    Really like to put a Sniper on this Jeep, but my hesitation is how to feed it. I've looked on Holley's site for a fuel tank, but no luck for a Jeep. 1989 through 1995 YJ were fuel injected 4.0L from the factory with a tank mounted sending unit. I thought about getting a tank out of a newer YJ as mine is a '87 model (no in-tank pump). But doubt a factory 4.0L fuel pump will feed this 427 SBC with 550 or so HP.

    Any ideas for getting an in-tank pump big enough to work? I really do not want an external frame rail mounted pump under the vehicle. Had one before when I had an LT1 in this Jeep. Sinking feeling when your pump is sunk in the mud, just rather have it in the tank.

    Current setup is a new double pump 850 Holley Brawler. It works OK, got it tuned well, just ready to try a Sniper maybe if I can figure out how to feed it nicely.

    We installed a Sniper on a friend's '66 Charger using a FI-TECH Command Center 2.0 Fuel Pump Module Sump under the hood. Simplifies fuel system a lot. His car doesn't have 550 HP, but the electric pump should supply more than that at 340 LPM. (rated ~800 HP). There are similar products from Edelbrock. We used an expansion fitting at the tank for a return line, the Wrangler should already have some kind of return as part of the emissions plumbing that's obviously not in your wheelhouse. The mechanical pump feeds it and it provides a fuel reserve. You won't hear the pump.
