What would the voltage be coming from crank sensor to ECU?
What would the voltage be coming from crank sensor to ECU?
It'd help if you listed more information. What kind of engine is it? Andrew
LSx Next Dart block, 416, LS7 heads, Holley Dominator EFI 58x reluctor.
The 58x crank sensors are 5V. You should have close to 5V across the orange & black (ground) wires of the sensor. With the Dominator you should do a System Log to see what's happening with the cam & crank signals. Andrew
Yes sir, I have 5 volt, ground & 12 volts on signal wire from ECU. I've turned cam off and getting RPM & pulse at injectors. Why would turning off cam cause this to happen, and when on, it knocks out crank signal?

Have you done a System Log?

I offer remote Holley EFI tuning.
I deliver what EFI promises.
Please get in touch if I can be of service.

the problem area, then it's time for a System Log to confirm which sensor flatlines. FYI: Crank & Cam A/D means Analog To Digital.
It's not the +5V reference supply voltage. Troubleshooting 3-wire Hall-Effect sensors:

Record a System Log to verify crank & cam sensor signals. Check mark the "RPM", "Crank" & "Cam" channels. Look for a uniform,
uninterrupted crank or cam sensor signal pattern. The crank or cam sensor signal should never flatline (no pulse) or indicate an
RPM "Error" anywhere. Also, fully charge the battery and ensure the engine is cranking fast enough, at least 100+ RPM. Another
common issue, is trying to analyze a compressed view of a long System Log. Zoom In for detail - click & hold at one point of the
datalog, and drag & release to another point nearby. It's best to record short System Logs/Datalogs that capture the problem.

Yes sir, I've been trying to get one loaded up, but it says Holley invalid file.
This is a copy & paste from one of my other posts:

Datalog & Global Files must be linked to a document hosting website. I use Dropbox.com.
Files can also be "zipped" (compressed zipped folder) & attached directly to a forum post ("Go Advanced" & "Attachments").
Your Global File is in the "Documents", "Holley", "HEFI V5", "Global Files" folder (.hefi file).
Your Datalogs are in the "Documents", "Holley", "HEFI V5", "Datalogs" folder (.V5.dl file).
Someone will analyze/troubleshoot the problem & offer advice. Also, ensure all this is right:
