    Default Old Avenger with V5 & 3.5" TSLCD

    Good Morning All. I have an old Avenger system that was working great, but wanted to intall V5 for customer, since it's the latest out at the time. Yes, I know V6 is here now, but not changing anything until dash works. So after V5 install with my laptop and TPS Autoset, car runs great. I plugged dash back in an it says I need to update firmware in handheld, which I've done, but it still says not compatible. I have attached two pics of what handheld says. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    There was an early and later 3.5" touchscreen. Yours may be so old that it can't be upgraded. Andrew

    How would I know the handheld has only been in car maybe 10 months or so, but not saying it wasn't old stock from Holley.
    Should I try a handheld from another car that's new with newer handheld?

    The handheld is V4, the screenshot of the files on the handheld doesn't show that V5 is there. Download V5 firmware for the handheld, put it on the SD card, and install it.

    Yes, the EFI (laptop/PC) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit must all be version compatible (LINK).

    OK, Thank You all very much. I have to get a card reader for laptop as it only has USB and charge port. I'll keep you posted. I assumed when downloading V5 on ECU with laptop it downloaded the handheld stuff as well, and then when updating device firmware it would've grabbed it when handheld plugged in. Again thank you, hopefully I can get this down today.

    Well apparently, I have no clue. I downloaded the V5 firmware to handheld via card reader and still nothing, still says V4.

    The 3.5" TSLCD will still display the V4 icon (it's a bug), even though V5 is installed. Just ensure V5 is installed in the settings.
