    Default 470 Truck Avenger Bogs

    My 470 Truck Avenger gags when I floor it quickly in 2nd gear, and it kinda jumps in 1st gear if I get on it. What adjustment should I make or part should I replace?
    Specs: Jeep 258 bored .060", 470 Truck Avenger, Dual port Offenhauser intake.

    Can you put a dashpot on a 470 Holley Truck Avenger?

    Strangest factory jetting I've seen. Small 4150 with a 35 pump nozzle, a 25 power valve, and a black secondary spring. I'd pull the pump nozzle down to 28 as a start, and change the power valve to an 85, if still stock camshaft. Gary

    I have a 28 nozzle coming. I should mention my vacuum gauge reads steady 23 inHg vacuum.

    I put the 8.5 power valve in and the 28 nozzle. It drives OK, but I feel like I lost some speed & torque.
    Any reccomendations to get the speed and torque back ? It idles well but rich.
