I'm building a street/drag/road race engine. Base 550 HP SBC, with Holley Dominator ECU. Plan to run 93 octane unleaded, and/or E85, and a dry nitrous plate setup +300 HP for trips to the drags. Looking at ignition, and want to convert to Coil-Near-Plug. Is the CD Pro 600 overkill for my application or will the standard Coil-Near-Plug conversion 82893-KIT be adequate? What if I end up boosting this engine later with some twin turbos? Seems like the Pro 600 would be more at home in a 3000 HP blown methanol monster drag car. Any opinion is appreciated.
