    Default Diag #7 cam signal.

    Hi guys. Just thought I'd ask a few of you guys here. Terminator X. Engine is cast LS turbo LY6 block, front cam sensor. We're losing cam signal under load between 6000-6800 with a backfire and ECU datalogs cam sensor fault.
    Have tried both new cam & crank sensors, another brand new ECU (Terminator X), reloaded program. Tried new crank & cam harness using shielded wire. Pulled front cover back off and checked cam sprocket. Has 24 tooth crank with half moon cam sensor. Both genuine ACDelco sensors. Checked air-gap on cam sensor. We also have a LS1 rear cam sensor fitted just to plug the factory hole. So we wired to that and had same issue at 6200 on, boost brings up cam sensor fault.

    Anyway, problem fixed. Just to let others know, we changed the crank reluctor to a 58x tooth and fixed the issue straight away. Cheers
