Thread: 6014 rough running problem.

    Default 6014 rough running problem.

LQ9 with a Holley 4BBL conversion and 6014. Runs rough between 1,200 & 1,500 RPM. Very smooth otherwise. Tried two different carbs, no change.

Just installed Holley Sniper EFI. Runs better, but the roughness is still present. No vacuum leaks, 20 inHg. Coolant sensor not hooked up at this time.

When on read only, timing looks to be in the correct range. Any ideas? Thanks.

An EFI system must have a coolant temperature sensor for proper operation!

Should've been more specific. I have a coolant sensor hooked to the EFI, that was installed last week. I did/do not have one attached to the 6014. The 6014 instructions said it was "optional". I think I'll try running that sensor to the 6014, also. Thoughts?
