Thread: Crank Signal

    Default Crank Signal

Hello. I'm getting a “Stall” message when I try to start the engine. This means the ECU does not see a crank signal, if I'm not mistaken. Other than the sensor itself being bad, is there any other explanation for this? The car ran yesterday and has not been touched and it now won't start. I checked grounds & power connections, unhooked ECU from power for several hours and double checked my engine setup with the Wizard.

Turns out my issue with intermittent crank signal was a loose connection between the harness and the sensor. I bent the pins in the connector a bit so they are tighter when engaged. That seems to have cured the issue. Can the intermittent loss of crank signal cause my plugs to foul?

@MattH: Not likely. How does the tune look? Andrew

I couldn't tell you what the tune looks like. I'm still green to tuning, but hoping to learn. The car is going to a Holley dealer on Friday to be tuned, and he's going to give me a basics course on what he's doing.

    Good luck. Andrew
