Thread: Coyote Gen1 custom trigger settings.

    Default Coyote Gen1 custom trigger settings.

    Looking to setup my Dwell Time table. In order to do that I need to do a custom crank sensor setup.
    Type: 36-1
    Inductive Delay: No idea.
    Timing Offset: No idea.
    TDC Tooth Number: No idea.
    Sensor Type: Digital Falling (?) It's a VR sensor. No options for VR Digital Falling.

    The car runs and drives fantastic right now. I have it on Ford Coyote locked cams (they're locked out).
    Is there any other way to enable the Dwell Time table without going through the custom crank sensor?
    I'm running IGN1A coils as well, if that makes a difference for settings.

    Digital Falling/Rising is only available with Hall-Effect type sensors.

    No, the Dwell Time table is only available with the Custom Ignition Parameters.

    So there's no way to use the OEM Coyote factory components. I'd have to do a Custom crank trigger setup, if I'm reading correctly.

    So am I. If I have a digital sensor in the OEM crank location, will the custom crank stuff work? Is there enough tooth count from the missing tooth? IIRC, it's 5 teeth from the missing tooth. I don't have room for an external mounted crank trigger setup without redoing the turbo system. Options are limited.

    Would a better solution be to enable a 2D Table in the Advanced ICF tab? Use Dwell Time Offset? Set it up so that the X & Y axis are off of RPM vs Battery voltage. What's the Dwell Time used in the Terminator X, so I know how much to add?

    The Fix: It was indeed Advanced ICF, 2D Table, then setup Dwell Time Offset, with Battery Voltage vs PSIG, then Advanced Enable if the battery voltage is above 10 volts. I datalogged Base IGN Dwell and Vol Comp IGN Dwell, to find out exactly what I need to setup my Dwell Time table.
