Thread: Dakota Digital CAN Bus Question

Default Dakota Digital CAN Bus Question

I've installed the adapter for the Dakota Digital gauges. In the instructions it asks to setup the CAN Bus to Racepak. Where do I find this setting? Thanks.

I don't know if the Terminator X/Max has that option, but this is where it is in the regular Terminator, HP & Dominator EFI software:

There are two CAN Bus #1 & #2 Types in Basic I/O (System ICF). One is "Holley Standard", and the other "Racepak". Change the appropriate protocol channels to "Holley Standard" and/or "Racepak".
CAN Bus 1 Type: ECU pins J1-A32 (High) & J1-A24 (Low).
CAN Bus 2 Type: ECU pins J3-B20 (High) & J3-B14 (Low).

I've looked all over the Terminator X & X2 software, looks like the feature isn't available anymore. Unless it's a Individual Config that needs to be added. Under System ICF Basic I/O had just Staging, TCC & Fans/Pumps/AC.

UPDATE: Never mind, I figured it out. There's a button to press on the Dakota Digital adapter to use the Terminator X. The other half of my issue was not plugging the adapter into the ECU, LOL! I guess that's a sign I need to take a break.

So you're using the Dakota Digital BIM-01-2-HLLY interface module? So once this is selected as the Terminator X, and the CAN connector is connected, it worked? I'm running into the same issue with mine trying to connect.
