Thread: Fox Terminator X starts then dies.

    Default Fox Terminator X starts then dies.

    Using the Fox Terminator X with the TFI on a 347. Will start, run for awhile, then just shuts off. Try to restart, will not start just crank over, then LED #7 light turn red. Shut off key restart will start/run then shut off again.

    Thank you for the info. I've been going through all the checks & adjustments with no change in issue.

    Are you controlling the ignition timing through the Holley? Do you have a CDI box wired into the system?

    You also might want to check the connector at the TFI module. I had one that didn't fit very securely.

    Ignition controlled by Holley. So kinda a run down. I had the original distributor and module in it. It was shutting off. Tryed new Motorcraft module. Sounded better, but still died. Got red LED light #7. Ordered a new DUI distributor with Dyna Mod on it. Had no spark so put the Motorcraft module on fired right up. But still dies with red LED #7 when try to start it. Could it possibly be idle timing issue?
