Default From Sniper to Terminator X.

Hi guys. Unfortunately I installed a Sniper to simplify my engine bay wiring/clean it up, but unfortunately, there's no way to get it to work in my application. The plan is to switch to a Terminator X now (Which unfortunately brings me back basically to my previous EEC-IV wiring. Which is ironic I guess). It looks like the main power wiring should be similar (two leads direct to battery, plus a switched +12V). Some things may change like Tach wiring I guess. But my main question is:
Ignition wiring. With the Sniper, I was using the Coil Driver Module. That doesn't appear to be an option with the Terminator X. But it looks like I can go back to using my TFI distributor. (Which would save a lot of money, as I can return this HyperSpark that never worked with the Sniper).

But, and here is my stupid question, where is the spark coming from? In the Terminator X manual, if I use the HyperSpark, I need to use a CD box. I can use the TFI distributor with a CD box, but it also says I can use it without. I'm not terribly familiar with it's function I'm afraid. Is the TFI module on the side of the distributor essentially being used as a coil driver?

Additionally, to use with the Sniper, the shutter wheel had to be modified. Does it now need to be reverted back to stock to use the TFI module/distributor with the Terminator X? Thanks guys!

Why aren't you using the HyperSpark distributor with the Terminator X? Terminator X users can install the Holley HyperSpark Distributor (Hall-Effect crank sensor only, no cam sensor) with the Holley 558-323 HyperSpark Ignition Adapter.

Follow the "Ignition Signal Flow Chart" on Figure 11, Page 20 of the Holley EFI Wiring Manual:
http://documents.holley.com/techlibr...10555rev17.pdf (Substitute Crank Trigger with distributor.)

I can use the TFI distributor with a CD box, but it also says I can use it without.
I always recommend using a CD ignition box with distributor type ignition systems. Here's why: LINK.

Because then it appears I'll have to use a CDI box, which I do not have.

I've already jumped through hoops (and extra thousands) trying to get the Sniper to work, and when I was told I'm basically out of luck due to EMI on this engine and I have to upgrade, the price of the Sniper just increased to the price of a Terminator X. And who knows what else now (fuel pressure regulator and new lines I see off the top of my head). Unfortunately, it has not been a pleasant experience at all.

So a TFI distributor is supported to function (it's in the manual, but I've been duped before! LOL!), without a CDI box, on a Terminator X system?

Roger that, just making sure it's still current. But you do not recommend it. Failures? Reliability? Or just not as good as a CDI box? Thanks man.
