I know this has probably been beat to death, however, after reading through literally 20 different posts. I need some guidance, I really do not want to brick this thing. I have an older 550-406, ECU back is labeled L-0857. It has the small controller with it. I also purchased a 3.5" TSLCD, from looking at the card contents it appears to be version 4.
Danny mentioned I should simply update all to V5, I like this idea, since I'm unfamiliar with the entire setup, why waste time navigating the older EFI software versions.
I also have not downloaded the V5 EFI software, but I've played with the 4V stuff for a couple hours. Should I erase it from my laptop and install V5, then once system is mocked up install the firmware in the ECU, then do the 3.5" TSLCD? I guess what I'm asking is, what sequence should I do all the updates?
