Thread: CTS Sensor

    Default CTS Sensor

What's the correct CTS sensor for LSx engines without using the The STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS TX3 sensor? This is for a SBC head, not LSx head M12-1.5 fitting, unless an adapter is used. When I bought my Terminator X, I used a 2006 Corvette C6 CTS sensor. Holley Terminator X temp reads 20° lower, vs my Auto Meter gauge which has been spot on for over a year. I was able to use a IR gun to dial it in with the (Offset) built into the Holley EFI software. Just wondering if there's a correct GM LS based M12-1.5 sensor that won't need adjustment? I'm using a Standard Motor Products TX89 Corvette C6 CTS sensor. Also had the same issue with my MAT sensor. Thanks.

If you don't want to use the Standard Motor Products TX89, then use the OEM GM CTS. The LSx engine very popular, surely you can ascertain the part number (Google).

I returned the Standard Motor Products. Bought ACDelco CTS & MAT sensors. Same issue, had to Offset both the sensors, just seems very odd for them to be off.
