Thread: Analog CAN Gauges Twitching

    Default Analog CAN Gauges Twitching

My oil pressure (553-127) and coolant temp (553-128) analog CAN gauges "twitch" randomly. These are daisy-chained with a CAN tach, using Holley 554-130 Gauge Module. The tach does not "twitch". All three read correctly otherwise. Using an HP EFI system.

I'm assuming I have EMI or RFI interference. I've taken switched power for the Gauges and for the Gauge Module from two different sources, no change. Ran the wires away from the main harnesses, no change. Remove and reinstalled the pin in J1A connector, no change. Any suggestions as to what's wrong? Maybe bad Holley 554-130 Gauge Module?

I'm having the same issue. Considering you posted this a week ago I suspect the Holley tech's don't have an answer. They are usually pretty good about answering questions in a timely manner. Like yours, my gauges read accurately and it's only the gauges that twitch, not the tach. I like the look of the instruments, especially at night when they're lit, so I'll probably just live with the issue.

I have the same issue, did you ever find a solution to this problem? Please advise.
