Thread: Switch for Datalogger

    Default Switch for Datalogger

I recall seeing a thread on wiring instructions to add a switch to activate a datalogging session. I've searched the forum, but now can't locate it. Would you mind posting the link again? Many thanks!

In reading the full post, I had a different thought verses wiring a new switch. The previous owner wired the 2-Step rev limiter to the line lock button (labeled "Rev Limiter #1" wired to J1 Connector - A12, Input #1). For the datalogger, can I simply use "Rev Limiter #1" as the Trigger Input to begin a datalog after engaging the line lock button? The "Enable Input For Internal ECU Log" is not currently selected. I'm assuming this would need to be checked? Thanks.

Yes. In Datalog (top Toolbar), "Setup ECU Logging", select "Triggered" Start Method, and select the "Rev Limiter #1" as the Trigger Input.

Not if you're doing it as described above.
