Thread: Eliminating Holley fuel pump relay.

Default Eliminating Holley fuel pump relay.

I'm installing a Super Sniper in my vehicle and I plan on keeping my existing fuel pump relay and wiring. I can connect the small diameter blue wire in the 7-pin connector to terminal #85 of my existing relay and use the Sniper to ground the relay and turn on my pump, correct?

Can't see why not, just make sure all the existing wiring is in good condition. Gary

So the small diameter blue wire will ground the relay and operate the pump?

I'd look at the wring diagram for your wiring harness. If you're unsure if the blue wire is a positive or negative trigger, I would not do it.

I don't have the Sniper EFI, so I'd use a multimeter to determine if that output is +12V or Ground.

In the Sniper harness, the small pink ignition signal wire is connected to the #86 terminal on the relay. The small blue wire is connected to the #85 (ground) side of the relay. I'm already supplying ignition power to the #86 terminal on my existing relay. If I connect the small diameter blue wire from the Sniper to the #85 (ground) side of my relay it should ground the relay and turn on the pump.

We just want you to ensure the Sniper small gauge blue wire is ground (because not all of us have the Sniper EFI).

I just sent contacted Holley's Tech dept for an answer on this issue. They responded that I should get a reply withing two days. I'll let you know what they say.

A simple multimeter will answer this in two minutes. (Or a Sniper EFI owner will probably chime in on this.)
