Thread: Need Detailed Parts List to convert my Ford TFI with Dominator EFI to CNP.

Default Need Detailed Parts List to convert my Ford TFI with Dominator EFI to CNP.

I'm currently running the Dominator EFI with the stock Ford TFI distributor. Not sure if it matters, but I'm running a 347 with a new billet solid roller cam, twin turbo, should be close to 1400 FWHP this year and rev to 8000 RPM. I'm running a small 6.5" balancer with an electric water pump.

I'm looking for part numbers for: Distributor, distributor gear for solid roller, CNP smart coils, harnesses, crank trigger kit for small balancer, cam sync? Or will Holley Dual Sync account for this? Do I need an 36-1 crank trigger or will the Dual Sync suffice? I want to get the exact list so I can do this once and be done with it. Thank you for your insight.

If you need that much purchasing help, please contact your Holley EFI dealer. I suggest Chris Myer at EFISystemPro.com or Richard Nedbal (FastManEFI) at EFIExpert.com.

An 8000 RPM, 1400 HP engine should use the Holley EFI 556-115 36-1 crank trigger kit and an MSD 85221 cam sync unit (which already has a steel distributor gear).
The Holley 558-431 Crank/Cam Sensor Harness is plug & play with the Holley EFI 556-115 36-1 crank trigger kit and the MSD cam sync unit.

The Holley EFI 558-117/558-118 Universal MPFI/CNP Main Harness is wired just like the Holley 558-104 Universal
Main Harness (LINK - Section 13 Wiring Appendix) and the Holley 558-307 Universal CNP Harness (LINK).

Most people find this document very helpful:

With the Dominator EFI, everything is sold separately. Use Summit Racing's shopping cart for a total price.

Thanks Danny. That's exactly what I was looking for. I've found the majority of the stuff on Summit Racing and/or Holley.com, but it seemed like there's more than one part that could have done the same job. Just trimming the fat the best I can on the configuration change. I may reach out to FastManEFI as well.

    You're welcome.

Yeah, I'd advise that. Purchasing from either one of the Holley EFI Dealers I suggested is better than buying direct from Holley. You'll need tech help before & after the sale, and you'll probably save money too.

Do I need the 558-118 harness, since I already have the 558-400 main harness? I'm having harness brain fade. So how many harnesses do I need to add to my current Dominator harness to run the 558-128 kit?

Yes, those harnesses serve two completely different purposes. The Holley 558-400 is an auxiliary I/O harness, not a main harness.

So how many harnesses do I need to add to my current Dominator harness to run the 558-128 kit?
The Holley 558-128 Transbrake Input Protection Module doesn't require another harness.

I'm currently running the 558-504 harness with my Dominator ECU. Which harness do I need to run the COP? Thanks.
