Thread: Was perfect, now lean, and splutter on acceleration.

Angry Was perfect, now lean, and splutter on acceleration.

I've had this running for a fair while now, with many different tunes saved as I fine tuned it. I have been able to run full throttle passes no problems and all has been really good so far. Just recently it randomly started running leaner and leaner, and any decent amount of throttle input would make it cough and fall on its face. I loaded previous tunes and still the same. I can confirm the WBO2 sensor is good as I have just installed another stand-alone beside it and they are reading the same. Fuel pressure stays good when viewing a datalog. The Learn Table is trying to compensate by adding lots of fuel, which is helping, but not enough. Obviously something has gone wrong. Initially I found the TPS had failed and was giving erratic readings, I have fixed this yet this did not fix it. Fuel filter is clean. Is there a chance there could all of a sudden be injector problems?

It's a 5.7 LS1 with a 6-71 blower, injected below the blower. It now idle surges from rich to 35:1 lean. When in gear it stays constant 14:1 AFR.
I have a datalog of a couple of neutral free revs, but the are .dl and .dlz files and it wont allow me to attach? Regards, Bradley

Thanks Danny. Yes I figured that this compensation I'm looking at in the Learn Table is highlighting a problem somewhere. Considering all the factors I've checked any idea what could cause it? Seeing the part about the fuel cell foam blocking the injectors could make sense. I might have to remove them and check.

You'll find the problem. If it's not the WBO2 sensor or fuel pressure related, you'll have to troubleshoot/investigate it.
