Thread: Diagnostic LEDs facing up?

    Default Diagnostic LEDs facing up?

Just had my entire car rewired and my Terminator X installed in my Fox Mustang. The guy that did it made a really nice mounting setup for it on the passenger side kick panel where the original ECU resided. The mount is horizontal with the LEDs facing toward the passenger seat so they are not exactly straight up as the instructions specify. They can still be plainly seen where as if they were pointed straight up they could not be seen.

Is this a problem? I know the instructions say to have them pointing up but do not specify as to why. I’m assuming so they can be seen and there’s no harm mounting the ECU any way you choose, as long as you can see the LEDs.

That's fine. The Holley EFI 554-157 Fox Mustang Terminator X ECU mounting bracket doesn't position the LEDs upward.

Good! Just making sure there’s no issues with the ECU essentially laying on its side.
