Thread: Initial Tune

  1. #1

    Default Initial Tune

I'm using the Terminator X on a 434 N/A LSx, which is in a race car. Will the initial tune I get from the setup work for this or do I need to take it to a tuner? I cannot drive this car on the street to self-tune. Second question: Is there a part number available for a threaded IAT sensor? All I know about is the Standard Motor Products AX32, which is not. Thanks.

You're not fully tuning it at the track either, so I guess you'll have to hire a professional tuner.

One of the Terminator X base tunes is a pretty rowdy 427. I bet that will get you started if you go through it and make sure the System and the Sensor ICFs are accurate for what you're using. Andrew

Thanks for the needed info. I just looked in the tunes provided in the software and the 58x tune is for a 364 cubic inch engine. Can you identify the tune for the 427?
Another thought: I have a 427 LS with an HP ECU. Can I use the fuel table data from that setup for the new 434? They are very similar builds.

Yes, there's no reason why you can't copy the tables into the Terminator X software. Andrew
