Thread: Sniper with in-tank pump.

    Default Sniper with in-tank pump.

    I'm currently running a Sniper system with return line on a 427W in a 1964 Fairlane. The tank design is terrible for the external pump, so I went with the 12-305 Holley in-tank pump that regulates fuel pressure with a recirc valve on the sending unit. Question is, do I still need the return line off the throttle body. Or can I cap it off and do away with the return line? The tank design sucks for trying to get the bulkhead fitting tight and it keeps leaking gas everytime I fill the tank.

    From Holley's website:
    "Fuel pressure is internally regulated to 58 psi eliminating the added expense and effort of purchasing and installing an external fuel pressure regulator - no separate return line is required because this module returns excess fuel right inside the tank!"

    Well that's what I thought, just making sure it's gonna work alright before I commit. Gonna buy a new gas tank without the bulkhead hole in it to make this stupid thing stop leaking.

    I'm doing the same install into a '67 Camaro with the Holley in-tank pump. I'm assuming a -6AN cap to block off the return port on the Sniper.

    I ran a single line on my car, you just cap the return fitting on the Sniper unit. It is -6AN.

    There's three fuel inlet options and one fuel return fitting. See "Fuel Fitting Overview" on page 10: (Holley Sniper EFI Instruction Manual)
