    Default Nitrous Solenoid Issue

    Hello. I setup my wet/progressive nitrous kit and dry tested it. Both solenoids worked. Then I put my settings back with minimum RPM 3500, Lean Cutoff at 13 and then 13.5, and Rich Cutoff at 8. Target AFR is at 11.5 and bottle is 1000 psi while running bottle heater. Battery is also at 14.5+ volts while N2O is enabled. The problem is the solenoids won’t work when the car is running and at those settings. Any advice on what to check next? Thanks, Patrick

    It didn’t datalog, but I had a buddy watch the graph and the N2O Enable switched on, but Stage 1 didn’t spike at all.

    When I dry tested with the car off, it did spike on the graph when I hit the throttle, but not when the car was running.

    Try it again and datalog it. I bet you'll find an answer by studying it close. I had the same problem.

    How do you start the datalog on the laptop without wiring a switch?

    Nitrous Enable is turned on at 5 seconds and Stage 1 starts at 9 seconds, but doesn't even stay on for 1 second.

    UPDATE: I figured it out after taking another look at it and it was a lean spike for a 1/4 of a second at WOT. So I put in a Cutoff Delay for .4 seconds and the nitrous worked, but now I need to figure out the lean spike. I'm not sure exactly how and where to add fuel. I'd appreciate if someone could give some input on where to add and how to actually do that. Here's a datalog from the last nitrous hit. Thanks for your time, Patrick.

    I'm in the habit of using the datalog Overlay feature every time I review a datalog.
    Click on "Datalog" (on the top Toolbar), "Activate Overlay", then "Open Data Log".
    You can literally "playback" a recorded event, and watch it as it happened on any screen.
    Minimize (shrink) the datalog window, and move it to the bottom of any Global File screen.
    Then click & scroll anywhere on the datalog, and watch it playback on your Global File (EFI software).

    Thank you Danny. Lowering the AE vs TPS/MAP RoC helped. There still is a lean spike of 16:1 AFR for a tenth of a second. Is this something to be concerned with? Is there a way to delay the nitrous or give extra fuel through the fuel solenoid just for that short period? Thanks, Patrick
