Thread: Holley EFI cold engine tip-in surge helper table.

  1. #1

Default Holley EFI cold engine tip-in surge helper table.

I made an IAC Hold Position Offset table to cure tip-in surge for cold weather/cold engine.
I have set my IAC Hold Position same as my IAC is when it is in gear, makes tip-in transition from idle smooth.
It worked perfect when engine was in operation temperature.
I always had small surge when tipping in from idle in cold weather/cold engine.
So I made an Advanced Table to smooth transition when engine is cold and IAC is more open.
Datalogged the cold engine IAC Position and added number to table, now the transition feels smooth

Sorry, I'm from Finland and don't know how all your grammar stuff works, and this forum already red lines words I don't write right.

In that case, no problem. I'll continue editing your posts. Forum members appreciate this, especially when English isn't their native language.

Advanced Tables are really handy. I have that same IAC Hold vs CTS table. I also noticed that when A/C was on, the RPM would drop faster when shifting (manual transmission). So I made a second Advanced Table that just bumps IAC Hold a bit when A/C is on, and now shifts feel the same regardless of A/C on or off.

Yes, Advance Tables are great. I have some that change the Target AFR and timing when I'm in 4th gear. I also have some tables I use for testing AFR & timing. That way I can activate them on the fly to help compare their affect. I also have an Advanced Table that will deactivate CL if the AFR goes above 20:1 (bad WBO2 sensor).
