Thread: Dead Holley HP ECU after sitting a few months.

Default Dead Holley HP ECU after sitting a few months.

Drove the car, turned it off and went to start it up after a few months and the HP ECU is dead. Does not prime fuel pump, can not connect with the 3.5" TSLCD nor the laptop. Battery is cranking strong and holding 12.5 volts. Any ideas?

Service has the ECU now and is confirming it's no good. They are not sure why the unit has failed, saying battery charger could be the cause, but this car has not been on a battery charger/maintainer.

Was any welding or electrical repairs performed (voltage spikes, short circuits, bad ground/wiring, etc.)?

I drove car, parked it for a couple of months, then went to start it, and dead Holley. Nothing was touched. Can a Terminator X be installed instead of the HP ECU? We can recoup some money from the extra harnesses. Holley repairs has left us holding a $1K paperweight that has seen about 10 miles and 3-4 hours of run time.

Yes, the J1A, J1B & Main Power harnesses are the same.
    NOTE: Pins B11 (Output #2) & B12 (Output #1) are G,P− for Terminator X. See page 11:

Any other ideas on the failure?

Non-protected relays will give fly-back voltage, harness/sensor wiring issues.

Do you have a 2-Step configured? Is there a line lock on the car? Andrew
