    Default 3.5 Sniper TSLCD on HP EFI?

    Hi. I have a Holley HP EFI setup on a '79 LS2 Camaro. I came across a Sniper 3.5" TSLCD.
    Given it uses the same Holley CAN, I connected it and it reads some parameters just fine.
    It shows me I need to upgrade the firmware as I have V5 on my HP and the Sniper is V2 or something.
    My question is, can I flash the version for the HP (553-108) instead of the Sniper so I get the full benefits?
    I know the easiest answer would be "get the right one", but I already have this one and I'd like to make all sensors and controls work.
    As I said, many sensors and monitors already work so worse case scenario I keep it as it is. Thanks.

    Yes, you have to flash it to match the V5 firmware you have on your HP EFI system. The EFI (laptop) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit must all be version compatible (LINK).
