Thread: No start, No RPM signal, Cam signal flatline.

Default No start, No RPM signal, Cam signal flatline.

The car has randomly not started a couple of times, but would start back up after a short enough period of time that I never really had a chance to find anything wrong. I fired it up a day or two ago to back it out of the driveway, then back in. Yesterday it wouldn't start at all. I use a battery tender and even with a full charge it turns over strong (the attached pics, show about 11V, but that was after a long run of start attempts). I get no RPM signal error. I datalogged startup for a few seconds which seems to show that I have a crank signal, but no cam signal or a flat cam signal.

SBF, Cam sync, CNP, Flying Magnet crank trigger. The car for the most part runs strong on a pump gas base boost tune. However, I've had the car stall on me several times, but it would fire right back up. I've noticed this happening mostly when coming to a stop. It would be nice if these two issues were related. How can I narrow down if it is indeed the cam sync/sensor or wiring, etc.?

If your cam sync unit isn't transmitting a signal, troubleshoot the cam sensor, wiring, reference voltage & ground, reluctor, alignment, air gap (LINK), radial run-out problems (LINK), etc.
