Default Holley Sniper update fails every time: bam 1 error.

Why does the Holley Sniper SD card update fail so much? This is the second time I’ve done an update using the SD card and it takes 5-10 tries before it accepts the update finally. Following all of the steps correctly, downloading the latest file. I’ve heard of several people experiencing this. Most techs just want to blame it on user error right away. But that’s not the case. Is there a reason this is happening? Is the download getting corrupted or something? Files are correct order and still continue to get error.

I had this error happen to me once. Do you guys have anything else connected to the Sniper or sharing a connection? I got this error when I had a Digital Dash connected to the ECU then split the signal from the Digital Dash to the handheld and I would get this error. I unhooked the Digital Dash and only ran than handheld and it fixed the problem for me.

RPnova's post reminded me of something similar. Holley once had a known bug in an EFI software/ECU firmware version that was giving Terminator/HP/Dominator EFI users major update problems. I finally tried updating my ECU without the 3.5" TSLCD & Digital Dash connected, and that was the only way the update was successful. (I only perform ECU firmware updates with my laptop computer.)
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
