Thread: Cold weather vs hot weather idle settings.

Default Cold weather vs hot weather idle settings.

Had my idle dialed in all summer with no issues. I mean really dialed in and happy with it! Weather got much colder in the last week and the engine doesn't really come down to idle speed much anymore. It tends to hang around at 100-200 RPM above idle, jumps up higher at times, and just won't settle down like it did in warmer weather. It seems the engine is getting too much air, so I backed down the throttle blade stop screw and the idle settled down like normal.

This has been typical for three summers now where I've to give the engine more air in hot weather for a stable idle than I do in cold weather. Any hints how to fix this without changing throttle blade position?
