Thread: Dart 340 quit running.

    Default Still Not Running

After trying everything with the instructions to sync the Dual Sync Distributor to no avail. I want to get the car running, so I installed an MSD Pro Billet Distributor and the engine is trying to start and even sometimes will kind of run. Here's the datalog I took today 2/2/2020.

If it doesn't start with the MSD Pro Billet Distributor, then maybe the problem is something else. You'll probably need someone to help you.

I finally figured this thing out! It ended up being a coil wire and a coil. I believe the wire malfunctioned and then took out the coil. I had checked the coil back in December, it was fine. I didn't check the coil wire until February found a that a six inch wire had 345 Ohms resistance. I guess the moral of the story is check the basics and not rely on it to be good.
