    Default Sniper Issue

I'm having problems that I think I've narrowed down to a stuck injector. I just tried the 1-800 support line, but they said they have over a one hour wait, so though I'd post here. Truck died this weekend on Imogene Pass in CO (about the worst place you could break down). The truck stumbled and died. It would restart and idle, but when you brought the RPM up to say 1500 and then let off, upon closure when the TPS went to 0% the left rear throttle bore would fill with fuel, like almost completely full and the truck would stumble and die again. I pulled the cover off and found both injector plugs on the left side loose. Thinking this might be the problem I reseated the plugs, but the problem persisted so I unplugged the rear injector completely and everything ran fine. I'm thinking the injector is stuck wide open, but I suppose it could be the ECU commanding it, but would expect BOTH secondary (rear) injectors to behave the same if it was ECU related. Anyone experienced this before? Sending the entire unit into Holly isn't an option, so has anyone found an aftermarket replacement injector?

Just for grins, I swapped places putting the rear injector in the primary side and the primary into the rear/secondary bore to prove it was a faulty injector. Low & behold the problem stayed in the rear bore ruling out a faulty injector, so it must be wiring harness or ECU related. The injector has 12 volts to it all the time and its pulse is triggered via ground, so this narrows it down to one wire or the ECU. I traced the wires as far as I could and didn't see a problem, but Holly tells me the ECU controls the primaries & secondaries as pairs vs. each of the 4 bores individually, so if this were ECU related you would expect both secondaries to act the same which isn't the case.

Sounds like that unit needs to go back to Holley for repair.
