    Default MSD 6AL Issues

    I have a 1970 Dodge Coronet 440-6 pack. I've had the MSD on it for 20 years. In the last two weeks the car has gone to running like crap, won't idle, won't stay running, etc. I've already done new plugs, new wires, checked compression, checked the cap & rotor. I was told the MSD box might be bad. What should I check and/or look for?

    Okay sir, so does the car start, and when you give it gas, does it stay running? There's a way to test the box to see if it's firing through the coil.

    With three Holleys, are we sure this is spark related? You say won't idle, won't stay running. Will it rev up at all? How old is the fuel? Gary

    Well either way, there are ways to test the ignition side just so you can make sure of it.
