Thread: 8 Channel EGT not getting power through CAN.

Default 8 Channel EGT not getting power through CAN.

I'm installing the new 8 Channel EGT and have connected it through the CAN. I have connected it through the harness with the Pro Dash and have connected directly to the Dominator ECU, and it's not powering the EGT module using either method. Suggestions?

Is there +12V power & ground on pin #1 & #9 of the connector?
The Holley Dominator ECU does have two CAN Bus channels (the 2nd is on the J3 connector).
CAN1 is on the J1 connector and CAN2 is on the J3 connector ("View Fixed" on Pin Map).
You can connect more than one CAN Bus device to the ECU (see "CAN Bus" in Basic I/O).
Set the Dominator CAN Bus Type 1 & 2 to "Holley Standard" (for Holley EFI hardware).

No power at the connector. After tracing the CAN wires back to the ECU, we never got a 12V & ground connected to the 4-prong CAN connector during the installation. Hooking them up now, hopefully that gets us there. Thanks!

Yeah, I think you just missed the +12V & ground wires. I think it'll work now.
